  19. MS-DOS has changed a lot since I have used it last.  Now it has network
  20. connections over many protocols.  However, now that many PCs have
  21. bidirectional parallel ports, is there a way of using Kermit to connect
  22. two PCs through their parallel ports and transfer files between them?

  24. In networking terms, Kermit would still be the application, but down at
  25. the data link and physical levels, a parallel port would be used instead
  26. of a serial port.  It seems like this should be simple and maybe even
  27. possible in a way that's not obvious to me.

  29. So, can it be done now?  Is it possible that it might be implemented
  30. soon?
